Support the LGBTQ+ Community All PRIDE Month Long by Shopping from These Brands
Between the two global pandemics of coronavirus and the unjust murders of black people by police brutality, we’re brought together this June to celebrate the true meaning of PRIDE month: to celebrate the strides our LGBTQ+ community has made for a more inclusive environment, and to band together to fight against the tumultuous bigotry that still plagues our society.
To say the Black Lives Matter movement has nothing to do with PRIDE month, or the LGBTQ+ community in general, is factually wrong: Some of the most pivotal moments in LGBTQ+ history, such as the Stonewall Inn protests, were led largely by POC queer and trans folk.
So, this year we’re going beyond rainbows and glitter to show our support, and we’re asking you to do the same. The following brands have made a commitment this month to give back to the LGBTQ+ community via donations, collaborations with queer-centered wigs singapore organizations, and more. Check them out and show your support, too.
Dashing Diva
For this year’s PRIDE month, the nail care brand has released a PRIDE collection of their best-selling nail wraps with all proceeds being donated to the It Gets Better Project, an organization working to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth.
Out of Print
This literary apparel and accessory company decided to create a PRIDE-themed collection of T-shirts, bookmarks, and more to celebrate the 51st anniversary of PRIDE month. But their activism doesn’t stop there: A portion of all PRIDE product sales in June will be donated to Lambda Literary, an organization that nurtures and advocates for LGBTQ+ writers.
Omnom Chocolate Bars
Yes, you can have your cake — or, more wig malaysia fittingly, chocolate — and eat it too. This Icelandic chocolate bar company created a milk chocolate and caramel bar in honor of PRIDE month. “This bar began with the idea of proudly supporting the Icelandic Community through Hinsegin Dagar [Reykjavik Pride],” the brand states on their website.
Popsockets
Elevate your phone’s aesthetic while supporting the LGBTQ+ community in style with Popsockets’ line of PRIDE-themed designs. For the month of June, 50% of the sales from this collection will benefit The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ+ youth.
House Wine
This June, House Wine is serving some refreshing PRIDE with a limited-edition collection, in partnership with Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer equality. Portions of each purchase will be donated to the organization.
Alder New York
We will always stan a brand that promises clearer skin while supporting a good cause. For the month of June, independent beauty brand Alder New York will be donating 10% of sales of their Everyday Skincare Set to the Ali Forney Center, a New York City-based organization dedicated to helping homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
Leland Francis
To show support during PRIDE month, Dillon Peña, founder of luxury skincare brand Leland Francis and celebrity makeup artist, crafted two limited-edition charity candles that will light up your home, while helping LGBTQ+ youth survive. A portion of sales from these candles will go to support the Ali Forney Center in New York and the Los Angeles LGBT Center in West Hollywood, which houses LGBTQ+ homeless youth while providing them with food, medical, and social services.
Kiehl’s
In addition to a dedicated $100,000 donation to The Trevor Project, Kiehl’s will also be teaming up with the nonprofit during June PRIDE and September Self-Care digital and social media campaigns to raise awareness for issues facing LGBTQ+ youth.
Seattle Chocolate
This Washington-based chocolate brand is making PRIDE even sweeter with their Pride Truffle Bag. A percentage of sales from the Pride Truffle Bag will be donated to the GSBA Scholarship Fund, benefiting LGBTQ+ and allied students who exhibit leadership potential, show strong academic abilities, and are actively involved in their community.
Boy Smells
This Insta-worthy candle company just gave you another reason to light their fire. All month long, Boy Smells will be selling a collaboration collection with The Trevor Project wigs online which will include PRIDE-themed versions of their best-selling fragrances, along with ultra soft and adorable underwear. Fifteen percent of all proceeds from the collection will be donated to the nonprofit organization.
Reebok
This year, Reebok decided to create a collection named “All Types of Love,” which serves as an homage to the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to the PRIDE-themed collection, the athleticwear brand will also donate $75K to the It Gets Better Project.
Youth to the People
Celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and skincare with pride via Youth to the People’s collaboration with GLSEN, a national network of educators, students, and chapters advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in and outside of K-12 schools. The brand’s With Pride Minis Kit will include three mini sizes of YTTP’s best-selling products, and 100% of profits from this limited-edition kit will be donated to GLSEN.
NYX Professional Makeup
NYX is celebrating PRIDE all year long via their partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center. On top of donating $50K to organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community, the brand created Proud Allies for All, a global network of queer and ally-associating beauty lovers who support the LGBTQ+ community.
Sterling Forever
For the entire month of June, this jewelry brand will be donating 20% of the proceeds from their PRIDE collection to the It Gets Better Project. But that’s not all: From June 8 to 15, Sterling Forever will also donate 20% of their total proceeds to the Minneapolis-based nonprofit We Love Lake Street Fund.
Epic Gourmet Popcorn
Epic Gourmet Popcorn, the only popcorn company certified by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, crafted up a concoction we can all enjoy: their Coming Out Box, which offers three PRIDE-themed gourmet popcorn flavors. The brand has also teamed up with Center on Halsted, the Midwest’s largest community center dedicated to advancing the LGBTQ+ movement. For each purchase of the Coming Out Box, Epic Gourmet Popcorn will sponsor one meal delivery from Center on Halsted to a senior in need.
Bliss
For this year’s PRIDE, Bliss teamed up with The Trevor Project to create a campaign helping LGBTQ+ youth cope during COVID-19 and addressing the mental health impact that quarantining may have. The skincare brand also donated $50,000 to the nonprofit.
The Bouqs Company
If you happen to be buying some flowers this month, The Bouqs Company should be on the top of your list. The flower service company created a vibrant bouquet of rainbow flowers with the help of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and 100% of proceeds will be donated to the organization.
Loverboy
Need another reason to sip on Loverboy’s delicious hard teas? Here’s one: The brand just launched a merch collection of two chic shirts for PRIDE with 100% of profits going to Human Rights Campaign — so now you can match your tea to your tee! The presale for the collection is currently sold out, but keep an eye out for the restock.
Fabletics
Looking for some new workout gear? Fabletics has you covered with their latest Pride capsule collection, with 10% of net proceeds being donated to It Gets Better.
Crystal Head Vodka
Here’s something to cheers to: Crystal Head vodka recently released a Pride-themed version of their signature packaging. All profits from this bottle will be donated to Kaleidoscope Trust, an organization working to uphold the human rights of LGBTQ+ people in countries around the world where they are discriminated against or marginalized due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression.
Bathing Culture
Throughout June, this independent body care brand is selling adorable “Love is Rad” pins for you to show your PRIDE all month long and beyond! Plus, $5 from each pin purchase will be donated to support a local Transgender Employment Program through the SF LGBT Center.
Tempaper
If you’re looking to give your room a refresh, then Tempaper has a gift for you: They teamed up with Queer Eye‘s Bobby Berk to create holographic eye decals in celebration of PRIDE month. For the entire month, Tempaper is donating 20% of proceeds from “You Are Seen” wall decals to GLSEN.
Dr. Martens
This PRIDE month, Dr. Martens released a line of rainbow flag-embellished military boots, socks, and laces, along with a collection of colorful variations on their 1460 Smooth shoe. Plus, the brand has also made a $25K donation to The Trevor Project.
ASOS
This year, ASOS continued its annual partnership with GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) for a fourth PRIDE collection of apparel. 100 percent of the proceeds of net sales will be donated to GLAAD.
KIND Snacks
This year, KIND is releasing special-edition PRIDE bars, with 100% of net sales being donated to the Ali Forney Center, a long-standing KIND partner, and this year’s NYC Pride March Grand Marshal, to assist in its efforts to protect and empower homeless LGBTQ+ youth across the country.
Levi’s
For Levi’s “Use Your Voice” campaign, the brand decided to make a full capsule collection for PRIDE 2020. One-hundred percent of net proceeds from the collection go to OutRight Action International, an organization that addresses human rights violations and abuses against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people.
Marc Jacobs Beauty
This PRIDE month, Marc Jacobs Beauty will be releasing a slew of new limited-edition Enamored lip gloss and lipstick shades that are all dolled up in rainbow packaging. The best part: The beauty brand will also be donating to SAGE, the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults, and Le Refuge, a French organization dedicated to preventing the isolation and suicide of LGBTQ+ youth by providing shelter and support.
Sunday Scaries
Stay chill and enjoy the positive vibes all month long (and beyond!) with Sunday Scaries’ revival of their fan-favorite Unicorn Jerky. A portion of each bag sold during PRIDE month will be donated to The Trevor Project.
UGG
Give your comfy wardrobe an upgrade with UGG’s latest PRIDE collection, which features new colorways of gender-neutral slides. If that’s not impressive, UGG is donating $125,000 to GLAAD to complement the capsule collection.
Peloton
For PRIDE, Peloton is donating $100,000 to the Ali Forney Center. But the exercise brand didn’t stop their efforts there: They also launched a collection of PRIDE-themed workout apparel to rock the rainbow through every sweat sesh.
Happy Socks
This June, the specialty sock company has partnered yet again with gender-free brand The Phluid Project to create a six-sock collection filled with rainbows, tie-dye, and more. Plus, Happy Socks and The Phluid Project are donating 10% net sales from the collection to the The Trevor Project.
Pottery Barn Teen
When it comes to fun knick-knacks and decor for your kids and teens, Pottery Barn Kids is always the place to go. And now, you can treat your kids to something good that gives back with this mug that they created in partnership with The Trevor Project. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from the purchase of this mug will directly support the organization.
Lord Jones
Here’s something to chew on: Luxury CBD brand Lord Jones has released limited-edition gum drops for PRIDE Month. Fifty percent of profits from these tasty CBD-infused treats will be donated to LA PRIDE in support of PLATform initiatives. The donations will specifically support people of color within the community, according to a press release from Lord Jones.
