Mills dominates final weekend to win Evansville Men’s City Golf Tournament

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – David Mills has won the Evansville Men’s Metropolis Golf Event twice ahead of, but neither time was it in the type of fashion that it was all through this year’s iteration.

Mills ran absent from the level of competition in the ultimate weekend, taking pictures 3-beneath par at Rolling Hills Golf Class and 2-less than par at Evansville Nation Club to seal the deal. The North Superior Faculty and Indiana College graduate finished 17-under par to win by a whopping eight strokes.

“I never like to consider it is more than until it is in excess of, so I was grinding absent on every shot. The good news is, I was equipped to build up a quite considerable direct at the finish, so I could kind of cruise a very little bit towards the stop, but all round, a good deal of fantastic gamers are in this area, who can catch up to you in a hurry, so you gotta maintain the pedal down when you can,” said Mills. “My results from yesterday carried above to nowadays, but the major issue for me, was my extensive-placing. It was very regular. I could get the speed correct a large amount, so I didn’t have much too a lot of not comfortable, minimal, limited putts to make for par.”
