After five years in Leawood, Amsterdam-based Suitsupply has closed its retail shop in Town Center Crossing and plans to relocate in the Kansas City metro.

The privately held men’s fashion brand was founded in 2000 and now has more than 121 stores worldwide.

A company spokeswoman described it as a one-stop shop for men’s fashions. Its suits are made from Italian fabrics and tailored while the customer waits, usually in about 30 minutes for basic alterations on pants. (Larger alterations on jackets have a turnaround of three days.) It also sells shirts, ties, shorts, sunglasses, bags and more. It offers custom-made items at all of its stores and online.

She wasn’t able to share the new metro location yet. But area real estate sources said the company has been looking at two Crossroads sites.

Officials with Town Center Crossing couldn’t be reached Monday morning for comment.
