First look inside the luxury spa that’s opened at top hotel
A new luxury spa has opened at one of the region’s best hotels. The first phase of the spa development – in the grounds of the Manor House Hotel, in Alsager – opened yesterday (April 14).
The spa is touted as a new ‘destination’ in the county and includes a 15-metre ‘serenity swimming pool’ with surrounding boardwalk, glass ceiling, sofas and an ‘Instagram worthy’ hanging day-bed. Poolside, there is also a new Finnish sauna and steam room.
The new addition of the spa is inspired by the hotel’s rural location and will offer both indoor and outdoor wellness experiences, making the most of natural light and fresh air. The new courtyard outdoors offers a unique Salt Shed experience – which includes a Himalayan Salt wall, lavender cauldron, and ergonomic seating where guests can relax in 40 degree heat. They can also experience a guided meditation session.

Three new treatment rooms have been built within the original farmhouse and include two for double treatments and one for single. British spa brand Tribe517 has been selected by the hotel to provide a range of face and body treatments, including indulgent and therapeutic massages and refining facials using hand blended natural ingredients.
The new facility with have a signature spa experience called the ‘English Spa Garden’, construction of which is due to be completed by autumn. When finished, it will offer users views of the Cheshire countryside.
Guests can enjoy a full or half-day away, with the option to extend their experience with an overnight spa break. The independent family-owned hotel, which is based in a 17th century farmhouse, is located on the southern outskirts of Alsager, off Audley Road.
It boasts 52 rooms, modern conference and banqueting facilities, and the AA Rosette-winning restaurant The Stables Bar & Grill – serving delicious locally sourced food and fine wine. A range of spa days and spa stays are available with prices starting from £95 per person.
